Join us in the Art Book Library for tea and crafts as we speak and listen to the Blackfoot language together with lead artist Faye HeavyShield. This session HeavyShield will teach us the skill of beading. All materials will be provided and this workshop is free to attend.

She is a fluent speaker of the Blackfoot language and studied at the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, Alberta. The language of HeavyShield’s home community, near Stand Off, Alberta, is evident in her continuous use of natural materials and imagery found in her minimalist works.
