Ekphrasis is a vivid description of a work of art. Ekphrastic writing can amplify and expand the meaning of an art piece and juxtaposes two creative forms.
The Gallery is excited to host a writing workshop with writer and academic Sneha Subramanian Kanta. In this hour-and-a-half generative online workshop, participants will learn how to write about and through art. Using the Gallery’s current exhibitions as inspiration, participants will learn strategies for art writing and develop their own work. Writers of all genres and experience levels are invited to take part in this workshop.
This event is hosted online over Zoom. For more information and to register, contact Heather Kehoe, Program and Events Coordinator.
