We invite you to celebrate Art’s (Belated) Birthday with the SAAG! This annual event celebrates the imagined inception of art, as proposed by French Fluxus artist Robert Fillou in 1963, and has become a favourite costume-party gathering at the Gallery! We’re celebrating Art’s 1,000,059 and ½ birthday with a Dada Cabaret! Join us as we welcome the Theatre Outré Dada Variety Show, Lethbridge Ball, and DJ MorrisMorris for a night of music, dance and gender-bending performances in the spirit of experimental cabaret culture. Dress to impress for our costume party of the year and come join us for a night of live theatre, drag competitions, pizza, cake, drinks, and dancing!

Theatre Outré Dada Variety Show
Join the mistress of Theatre Outré, Didi d'Edada, and her Experimental Ensemble of local artists in "Didi Does dada." Take a journey into the bizarre, voyage to the depths of absurdity, turn off your thinker and avoid the futility of seeking meaning in our collective stage wanking. The library is old, so is the banana. What will we see? Screw it! Go home! but stay. Macaroni.
Lethbridge Ball
Part competitive “drag” ball, part performance, this spectacle of artistry, fashion and queered absurdity will pit contestants against each other in a dance to the death. Veteran judges Chet Peckerton and Poppa Wheelie are joined by guest judge Jay Whitehead. This is your chance to get a taste of Lethbridge’s fierce burgeoning underground drag ball scene!
MORRISMORRIS
Ranging from mind-melting psytrance, window-breaking electro punk, to alien-summoning space techno, MORRISMORRIS plunges the dancefloor into a frenzy that brings to mind underground warehouse raves. Remember to drink water and catch a breather, you'll definitely need it.
