The gallery’s Critical Reading Group, named after our first librarian Hazel Bletcher, gathers for open discussion once a month. For the warmer summer months we’ll meet at the gallery, and share our time together outside in the Galt Gardens park. Readings explore key themes of the exhibitions and connect with current events, with the intent to deepen our understanding of the artworks and their context within our community. Everyone is welcome to join these open discussions!

Readings are sent in advance of the event. A limited run of the Bletcher Hour Reader is published in-house at the gallery, and can be picked up anytime you visit. You can also receive a PDF of the readings by contacting Courtney Faulkner, Public Engagement & Event Coordinator | cfaulkner@saag.ca.
