Su Ying Strang is a visual artist and cultural worker with a decade of experience in the not-for-profit arts sector. She has served the Executive Director of the Southern Alberta Art Gallery Maansiksikaitsitapiitsinikssin since 2022, and leads the organization in its mission to foster the work of contemporary artists who challenge boundaries and encourage a broad public engagement, awareness, and exploration of artistic expression. Su Ying’s work in the arts is informed by an artist-centred and community-driven ethos—prioritizing thoughtful stewardship of artistic practices and accessibility to programming for audiences. Su Ying also serves as a Board Governor at Glenbow Museum, guest faculty for the Rozsa Foundation’s Arts Management and Executive Arts Leadership programs, and previously was the Director of The New Gallery.
