VIEW THE ARTWORK

In 1976 the Southern Alberta Art Gallery opened its doors. The following year we made a commitment to provide formative opportunities for Lethbridge students from kindergarten to grade 12. Through our newly named Virtually Installed: Lethbridge Schools. Students. Art., we are able to honour youthful creativity by exhibiting students’ artwork online in partnership with a leading contemporary art gallery.

Now in its 44th year, we estimate that our annual student art exhibition has exhibited over 17,000 pieces over the decades. At a challenging time, this exhibition continually reminds us that art is a fundamental aspect of learning and development.

Organized by the Lethbridge School Division, in cooperation with the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Separate Regional Division, and École La Vérendrye. Hosted by the Southern Alberta Art Gallery with funding assistance from participating schools, Alberta Foundation for the Arts, and the City of Lethbridge.
