ART’S ALIVE AND WELL IN OUR HOMES
VIEW THE EXHIBITION

In 1976 the Southern Alberta Art Gallery opened its doors. The following year we made a commitment to providing formative opportunities for Lethbridge students from kindergarten to grade 12. Through Art’s Alive, we have been able to honour youthful creativity by exhibiting their work in a leading contemporary art gallery. Now in its 43rd year, we estimate Art’s Alive has exhibited over 17,000 pieces over the decades. This exhibition continually reminds us that art is a fundamental aspect of learning and development.

This year looks quite different. Considering our current reality, we thought we would plan Art’s Alive and Well in Our Homes! The exhibition will premiere on the Lethbridge School Division and Holy Spirit Catholic School Board websites. There will also be an opportunity for everyone to vote for their favourite works on the Lethbridge School Division website after the launch date.

Organized by the Lethbridge School Division, in cooperation with the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Separate Regional Division, and École La Vérendrye. Hosted by the Southern Alberta Art Gallery with funding assistance from participating schools, Alberta Foundation for the Arts and the City of Lethbridge.
