BRYAN MATTHEWS
Local wood-turner Bryan Matthews is one of the founding members of the Chinook Wood Turning Guild of Lethbridge Alberta. Using a variety of local and exotic woods, he enjoys the journey of turning raw lumber into something pleasing to look at and own. From various sized bowls to pen/pencil sets to whimsical wooden ornaments, each piece is unique and is engrained with the original character of the wood.
MELODY ARMSTRONG JEWELRY
Melody Armstrong is a Canadian metal artist who designs and creates precious art to adorn the body. Melody graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 1999. Working with sterling silver, anodized titanium, patinas, semiprecious and precious stones, and gold, she creates jewelry that is influenced by nature, architecture, and fashion. Melody's designs infuse organic and industrial influences through a mix of natural shapes and geometric structures. Melody Armstrong resides in Regina, Saskatchewan where she is the Jewelry Instructor and the Artist in Residence at the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre. URSULA SOMMERER POTTERY
Fresh and lively colour, imaginative and simple lines, and elegant design characterize Ursula Sommerer’s ceramic pieces. Sommerer is a graduate of the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in Fredericton, New Brunswick and of McGill University in Montréal. In addition to the Southern Alberta Art Gallery Gift Shop, her work is displayed and sold in Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba. She is currently a professional member of the Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec and was recently a member of the New Brunswick Craft Council. PUSHAN DESIGNS

Creative Jewellery with a Twist! Artist Orusia Pushan launched Pushan Designs in 2004. Her collection incorporates an array of different materials and media including: fabric, ribbon, glass, tumbled stones, semi-precious stones, shells, painted tiles, and treated copper. Pushan Designes have been featured on the runway at ELLE Canada’s premier in Toronto last April. As a new Canadian Designer, Orusia’s vision is to use her unique style to create original pieces to dress women of all ages.
