The Southern Alberta Art Gallery would like to thank our incredible volunteers for the support they’ve provided over the past months! Without the help of our volunteer base, SAAG could not execute the quality of events, programs and exhibitions for which we’re known. We’re always looking for enthusiastic people to join our team and to help with various projects throughout the year. Art’s Alive and Well in theSchools Exhibition Tours
May 6 to June 10, 2012
We’re looking for outgoing and energetic volunteers to help us deliver exhibition tours to school groups during Art’s Alive. Comprehensive training will be provided for tour guides. The tours are scripted, but allow for improvisation.
Exhibition Installations
Installations are the perfect opportunity for a behind-the-scenes look at how exhibitions come together. Interact with renowned artists and gain valuable professional experience in a respected contemporary art gallery. We’re looking for energetic volunteers with some gallery or installation experience to help in mounting the following exhibitions:

Bartending
Bartending is a great way to enjoy the many social events at SAAG. If you’re personable, energetic and good with money, this is the gig for you. Upcoming events include:

As one of SAAG’s major fundraisers, we require volunteers to fill a variety of roles, from guiding groups through homes, to pouring tea, setting up tables and selling raffle tickets.
Art Auction
Saturday, September 15
Our annual Art Auction is the social event of the season and volunteering is a great way to get in on the action! We’re looking for volunteers in the following positions: Set Up, Champagne Service, Bartending, Art Packers, Art Movers, Vannas, Paymaster, and more.
The Shop At SAAG
If you have a passion for art, design and fashion then this is the perfect volunteer position for you! We’re looking for energetic, friendly volunteers who have an eye for details and some retail experience. This position requires a minimum time commitment of two hours per week.
