DONATE
This holiday season, you can make a difference!
Consider making a donation to the Southern Alberta Art Gallery on behalf of a friend or family member. As a not-for-profit organization the Southern Alberta Art Gallery is supported by its members, foundations, fundraising endeavors, and corporate and private donations. Community support is essential to maintaining the quality programming for which SAAG is recognized, and allows us to exhibit the leading artists and work of our time.
Here’s how you can make a difference:
• $25 will subsidize the cost of one Art Club class for an underprivileged student
• $40 will subsidize the cost for a community group to come in for a Gallery School tour and activity
• $85 will provide a bursary to help a low-income family enroll their child in Art Club
• $125 will cover 50% of the cost for an out-of-town class to enroll in Gallery School
• $150 will cover the cost of a SAAG Cinema film screening
• $250 will cover the cost of a lecture or workshop from a visiting artist or speaker
Did you know? For each dollar you donate to the Southern Alberta Art Gallery the Government of Alberta’s Community Spirit Program will match it! Not only that—for any charitable donation that exceeds $200 Albertans receive a 50% tax credit, one of the highest charitable tax credits in Canada! For more information about this program and the charitable tax credit visit www.communityspiritprogram.ca.
If you are interested in making a donation or learning more about the great things we have planned for 2012, please come in for a visit or contact Danielle Tait, Manager of Fund Development, at 403-327-8770 ex. 22 or at dtait@saag.ca. With your support we can achieve our vision to encourage broad public engagement and promote awareness and exploration of artistic expression.

Gift-In-Kind Donations
Gifts in-kind are a great way to contribute to some of SAAG’s most important activities and programs! Art supplies for our education programs or building materials for exhibition installations are just two examples of in-kind donations that will go a long way at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery!
Endowment Fund
You are welcome to contribute to an open permanent Endowment Fund with the Lethbridge Community Foundation to help secure the future of SAAG as a respected Canadian art institution. The initial capital for the fund came from a bequest from the estate of R.F.P. Bowman, a long-time resident of Lethbridge. Contributions are made annually, and the Endowment Fund also receives and administers private donations and bequests that are held in perpetuity. The income from investments helps fund SAAG’s operations.
For more information about giving to the Southern Alberta Art Gallery’s Endowment Fund please contact Danielle Tait at 403 327 8770 x 22 or dtait@saag.ca, or George Hall, Executive Director, Lethbridge Community Foundation at 403-328-5297 or office@lethbridgecommunityfoundation.ca.
